In this month’s teaching, Mingyur Rinpoche breaks down the types of awareness that guide us from our everyday distracted state to a life of freedom and wisdom. While awareness itself is always present, our relationship to it, how we recognize it, changes as we practice.
Using the beautiful analogy of the sky and the clouds, Rinpoche explains that we don’t need to get rid of our thoughts and emotions to find peace. Instead, we learn to connect with the “sky” of awareness, allowing the clouds of thoughts and emotions to come and go.
