Monkey mind loves to create problems for us. In this video, Mingyur Rinpoche clarifies that what monkey mind is doing is not terribly important. Instead, what is important is how you relate to monkey mind. In brief, if you are able to avoid empowering the monkey mind as the “boss” on one hand and trying to dominate it on the other, the qualities of the mind—such as pliability and flexibility—will naturally emerge, and the monkey will rest.
