Love for All Beings: View

In this video, Mingyur Rinpoche discusses the one thing we all have in common: wanting to be happy. He describes how the expression of seeking happiness may differ, but that the fundamental wish is the same.

Reflection Question

  • Mingyur Rinpoche explains that many forms of “happiness” may actually lead to suffering in the long-term. This includes, for example, the pleasure of overeating, smoking, or drinking alcohol. He also mentions activities that lead to lasting happiness, such as practicing awareness and compassion. Do you experience this difference? If so, how so?
